Upcoming Changes to the MCT Program

As part of efforts to ensure the quality of our MCT program Microsoft is reviewing and working on new initiatives to ensure the highest standards for trainers entering the MCT program which include:

• Requiring that new MCTs joining the program after July 2022, complete an instructional skills certification. This decision will not affect existing MCTs.
  
• Removing the Microsoft Office Specialist certifications from the list of valid certifications for new MCT enrollment only. This decision comes after observing a surplus of trainers which outnumbered the demand of learners seeking training in this area. Microsoft will monitor this situation and may revisit the decision in the future.

These changes reflect Microsoft commitment towards a sustainable future for the Microsoft Certified Trainer program.
